JOY AT THE NORFOLK, VIRGINIA LANDFILL
It’s More Than a Landfill–It’s An Opportunity
I went to Norfolk, Va. this past Wednesday to do a clean-out for a gentleman from Darnestown, Maryland. Before I took the first load of junk to the Norfolk landfill, I called the facility. Then a very nice lady answered and gave me the particulars of how to use their facility. She was very helpful.
Upon arriving, she did what she needed to do and we proceeded inside to empty our truck. After doing so we had to pull back onto the scales to get the weight of the stuff we had dumped. After pulling onto the scale, I got out of the truck and walked over to her booth where I stood by her window for a moment.
She then had her back to me and seemed to be watching something on a small television that was inside the booth. When she realized I was there she was startled, saying something like, “Oh my goodness! I didn’t know you were there! I was over here just looking for a pick-me-up from the Lord right now. So I really need God to bring me some sunshine today in my life!”
Articles of Faith Card to the Rescue
Next, I immediately pulled out my wallet and handed her an Articles of Faith card. “Here you go,” I said. “Here’s your message from God. On the back is what Mormons believe. With this, you’re an expert on the Mormon Church.”
It was stunning! She then took the card quickly and thanked me profusely. “God is good!” she remarked. “God is sooooo good!”
“Yes, He is,” I agreed.
That’s why you keep an Articles of Faith card on you at all times. God can then use you to give it away to someone whom He will drop into your path.
