Joy at the Movie Theater–Meet the Mormons
I was pleased to see this posting on Facebook about the release of the upcoming movie Meet the Mormons. Here’s what I did on my Facebook page to help promote it:
Given the amazing popularity of the Broadway play “The Book of Mormon” and the visibility Mitt Romney received in the past presidential election, Mormons have gotten a lot of attention in the last few years. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of misunderstanding and misconceptions out there about Mormons and what we believe.
Perhaps that’s why it’s fun to see the Church come out with a movie that gives people more information. I encourage you to go see it. It is currently scheduled to show at theaters in Annapolis, Alexandria and Arlington. We are in the process of trying to get it shown in Montgomery County too.
In the meantime, if you want to see Mormons in action, just take in a Navy football game. The head coach is a great example!
