JOY AT THE VISITORS’ CENTER
Today I found some joy at the Visitors’ Center. A gentleman came to the temple grounds to purchase a used copier the Church was getting rid of. His name is Bonnie.
He works with the Evangelical International Mission church. They needed a copier and decided to come pick up ours.
Visitors’ Center Quick Stop
After loading the copier into his car, I gave him an Articles of Faith card. Then I took him into the visitors’ center for a quick tour. After that, I showed him the cutaway of the temple model, which he enjoyed.
Next, I took him inside the front doors of the temple annex and showed him the recommend desk. Then I explained most people don’t know you can go into that portion of the temple, just not past the recommend desk.
It was a great exchange with him. He asked lots of questions and had me take these photos of him.
It’s easy to help others when the Lord drops them into your path. So have some Articles of Faith cards with you. Then use them!
Also, go see what the Visitors’ Center has to offer. Become acquainted with the displays. Watch some movies. Ask what is new at the Center. Those who work there are anxious to tell you all about it!
At Christmas time, visit the international creche sets on display. Then check out the musical performances that are presented each night. The more you know about what is inside, the more options you have on things to discuss there.
Most churches don’t have the facilities we have. Use what we have to make their lives better. Then your own life will be better.
